Wine Tasting Reviews from Switzerland and the World: Red, White, Rosé, Sweet and Sparkling
Lugana I Frati 2018, Ca dei Frati

Lugana I Frati 2018, Ca dei Frati

The Lugana I Frati is a white wine made with Turbiana grapes by the Ca dei Frati winery in Northern Italy, next to Garda Lake. The 2018 vintage is an elegant medium-body yellow wine that offers charming lemony perfumes. My palate tasted crisp notes of lemon with hints of apricots and discrete buttery sensations. This wine is grown in steel on the fine lees for minimum 6 months, followed by 2 months in the bottle. I discovered the Lugana area wines during a lunch in Northern Italy next to Lago di Garda and always like to appreciate this type of delicate and aromatic wine again when I have a meal based on freshwater fishes.
