This Johannisberg de Chamoson is a Swiss white wine produced in Valais by the Jean-René Germanier estate in Vétroz. This winery is a family-run operation owned by the Germanier family, in partnership with oenologist Gilles Besse. Johannisberg is the name given in Valais to the Sylvaner grape variety, also known as Gros Rhin. It thrives particularly well in Chamoson, the largest wine-growing municipality in Valais.

This 2024 Johannisberg de Chamoson was aged in stainless steel tanks by winemakers Gilles Besse and Delphine Dubuis. It received a tasting score of 91 points from Robert Parker / The Wine Advocate. This wine is beautiful pairing with the local white asparagus from Saillon.
